    1) Ibom Power Station:
    Also under the control of Independent Power Project (IPP). Ibom Electric Generation Power Station is located in Ikot Abas, Akwa Ibom State.The Electric power plant is also run on simple cycle gas turbine. Ibom plant was commissioned in 2009. The Power Generation capacity is at 500MW.
    2). Trans Amadi Power Station:
    The Electric Power Generation Station is also a independent Power Project (IPP) type. With installed electricity generating capacity of 136MW. The Power plan is located in River State.3)
    . Omoku Power Station:
    Another Electric Generating Power Station under the Independent Power Project (IPP). Located in River State also with Electricity generation capacity of 150MW. The whole plant is run by simple cycle gas turbine
    4) Aba Power Station:
    Aba Electric Power Station is run by simple cycle gas turbine and also Independent Power Project (IPP) type. Located in Aba, in Abia State. Has electricity generation capacity of 140MW. The Power plant went into operation in 2012
    5) Rivers Power Plant:
    River Power Plant is located in River State. Also under the Independent Power Project(IPP). The installed electric generation capacity is at 180MW.6)
    Sapele Electric Power Plant(NIPP):
    Sapele power plant is located in Sapele, Delta State. The electric generation capacity is at 450MW. The power plant project was completed in 2012. The power plant operates on simple cycle gas turbine action.7)
    Geregu II Power Station(NIPP):
    This electric power plant is located in in Kogi State. The electric generation capacity is at 434MW. Geregu II Power plant is operated by the simple cycle gas turbine. The power plant went into operation in 2012.
    8). Olorunsogo II Power Station(NIPP):
    This power plant is located in Ogun State of Nigeria. The installed generation capacity of electricity is at 675MW. The power plant is operated by simple cycle gas turbine action.
    9. Alaoji Power Station(NIPP):
    This power plant is located in Abia State. The project went into full use in 2015. It has installed generating capacity of electricity at 1074MW. Operated by the combined cycle gas turbine action.

      As for its functioning, it works through simple cycle gas and gas heated stream turbines. This power station has 1020 megawatts of capacity. The year of its launching is 1981. The station is located in Sapele, Delta State.
      Transcorp – Ughelli power plant
      It is situated in Delta state. As a previous station, it also works through a simple cycle gas heated turbine. This power plant of Nigeria has 972 megawatts of capacity. Generally, Ughelli power generator has three phases: the first was established in 1966, the second one – 1975, the third – 1978, and the fourth - 1990.
      Kwale Okpai power station (IPP)
      The owner of this Nigeria power sector is Agip Oil Company. It functions through a gas turbine with combined cycle. As for its capacity, it amounts 480 megawatts. The year of station’s launching is 2005. It’s situated in Delta State.
      Ibom power station (IPP)
      This electricity-generating plant works on gas turbine with a simple cycle. As for its capacity it amounts 190 megawatt. The year of its launching is 2009. Its location is Akwa Ibom State. The phase (II) of this power plant has a capacity 500 megawatts.
      AES Barge (IPP)
      The power plant from Lagos State also functions on a gas turbine with a simple cycle. The capacity of this Nigerian power station amounts 270 megawatts. The year of its launching is 2001.
      Omoku power plant (IPP)
      The principle of its work is the same like previous one. As for its capacity, it equals 150 megawatts. It was opened in 2005 in Rivers State.
      Trans-Amadi power plant (IPP)
      This generator works on gas heated system. The capacity of Trans-Amadi power plant is 136 megawatt. Its location is Rivers State.
      Rivers power plant (IPP)
      The plant from Rivers State also has a gas heated system. Its capacity is 180 megawatt.
      Aba power generator (IPP)
      It works on a gas turbine with simple cycle. The capacity of this Nigerian power station from Aba State amounts 140 megawatts. And the date of its launching is 2012.
      Zungeru power plant
      This station belongs to the stations with hydroelectric systems. The capacity of the power station is to be 700 megawatts. It will be operate by 2020. The owner of this generator is Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy.
      Dadin kowa hydroelectric station
      This power plant will have hydroelectric system. As for its capacity, it will be 29 megawatts. The opening is planned for 2019.
